Homestar® is a comprehensive, independent national rating tool that measures the health, warmth and efficiency of New Zealand houses.
Using Homestar®, houses are rated on a scale of 6 to 10 where 6 means a house is warmer, drier, healthier and cheaper to run compared to a house built to the New Zealand building code and 10 means you have achieved a world leading house. Surprisingly, the New Zealand Building Code is below the standards required in most IEA (International Energy Agency) member countries with a comparable climate. At Craft Homes, we firmly believe that higher quality, more energy efficient homestar homes Auckland are the way of the future. They will be of great benefit to the environment and will improve families' quality life by being healthier, warmer and smarter. Being Homestar® Practitioners and Assessors allows us to undertake the full Homestar® rating process and go above and beyond the current New Zealand Building Code to deliver a Homestar® home that functions better all year round. |
